Goddess of Life
The Goddess of life, love, fertility, and nature. She is a beautiful goddess who was involved in a love triangle with Raanu and Verszagro. Verszagro loved her dearly, but she loved Raanu, which angered Verszagro, turning him vengeful to the point that he declared war upon all mortals on Terr'ahna just to spite them both.
Maryve is credited with creating the Mother Crystal and infusing Terr'ahna with Mystia, the life blood of all life on Terr'ahna, as well as giving birth to the first Mystimon, the Dinozaurs, out of her love for Raanu. Devout worshippers pray to her for the gift of fertility, and to heal the sick and wounded.
However, these beliefs are false. She indeed did create the people of the world, the Altarans, the Humans, the Saurus, etc. But the Mother Crystal itself was not her doing. Rather the Mother Crystal actually came from deep in space and it housed Phantos, the true Mother of Mystimon, and the wife and lover of Maryve and Raanu's daughter, Debrial.

Tenets of Faith
Maryve's tenets are to protect all life, no matter who or what it is, and allies; to provide aid to the sick and the wounded; to seek and allow redemption to all who seek it; and to destroy the spawn of the Forgotten Gods, Austrione, Morigoth, and most importantly, Verszagro. Maryve's followers believe that life is a gift, given to us by the great Goddess, and it is a gift to not be squandered on petty things.
Holidays
There is a holy day, of remembrance and reverence to the Great Goddess, typically held at the very end of the year, known in Almahna as Maryvaem, but otherwise known in other parts of the world as New Year or New Life. In the Quatrica Islands, this holiday was moved to the first week of Spring, because in that culture it is believed that the first day of new life is in fact the first day of Spring. In the Quatrica Island, most holidays are in fact timed with the seasons rather than the days of the year.
In any case, this holiday is meant to pay tribute to lives lost, as well as to the year ahead, and remembering the past year. In Almahna, there is a tradition in which people gather in one place in Southern Almahna and plant a tree, paying tribute to the Goddess of Life.

The greatest goal of Maryve is simply to protect all life in Terr'ahna, and to fight back the darkness of the Forgotten Gods.
