Session 7-2: Divine Connections

General Summary

Hugo got the Guard's help, which came in the form of Cain and Shishin, an investigator and a warrior. I showed them the evidence we had, namely the corpse and the snake tracks leading outside. Cain said that Goodbeard's horrible murder matches the MO of 3 ritualistic murders in Calrune. When the 3 of us were just about finished going over the details, Rune came out of her wagon, having composed herself enough to help. So all 4 of us went down to Goodbeard's wagon to look for evidence. However, the door was locked. Cain managed to kick in the door. For some reason, there were Dream Pollen Pods, a plant from Olympus which make people hallucinate, inside. We found out that they were recently planted there as well. I managed to disable the plants though. That's when a Crowl flew in Goodbeard's wagon carrying a note for Cain. His eyes lit up when he read the note and then hastily went out the door, explaining that he had to work on another case which he had been assigned to beforehand.   At the same time, Maiq and Joe were going to ward the nearby woods to investigate. Joe was looking for Issac because he just knew a druid had killed Goodbeard, which ended up being correct. Maybe Joe has a method behind his loud mouth? Anyway, Joe ran ahead of Maiq and found Issac fighting some sort of water sprites by a lake. Maiq met up with the 2 of them when he heard a loud boom. They ended up finding a backpack near the lake as well, with the symbol associated with the Ancient Ones, beings older than the gods themselves who got banished long ago. They also found a map of Rakshar and the surrounding area. This map had Oldlin's Orchard and Hawfton Mill circled. In the backpack, they also found a disturbing amount of accurate information about everyone in the circus   They met up with us while we were finishing up in Goodbeard's wagon. Rune and Issac ended up taking watch for the night. Then, in the middle of the night, we ended up fighting a Cowin druid who was controlling Naijins, so unfortunately they had to die too. It was a shame. Hugo and Shishin wasn't there though. I suppose Shishin is a heavy sleeper and Hugo was partaking in "life giving activities". However, Hugo informed us that another murder has occurred in Rakshar. Of course the screams and commotion in the morning kind of gave it away.
