The Apocalypse God
The last of The Forgotten Gods, Verszagro, according to legend, was exiled from the Sacred Nexus, realm of the gods, for waging war upon the mortals of Terr'ahna. He believes mortals should not be allowed to corrupt the divine work of the gods, Terr'ahna, with their filth, and that the world should be kept pure, the way it was created long ago. Today, his devout followers include the religious cult, the Sechi Legion, which has waged war against the Allied Nations and the Maji Guard in his name for over a thousand years, under his promise to bring them into 'paradise'.
Priests and scholars have debated for years over what could make Verszagro hate mortals so much. The one true consensus being that he must have been in love with Raanu's wife and lover, Maryve, and when she chose Raanu, he became angry and vengeful.
Twenty-eight years ago, Kairine Kamuya, one of the last Telepaths, prevented his release from his prison in the deepest level of the Undergrave, but with a great personal loss: the life of her sister, her last remaining blood relative in the world. Upon that day, Verszagro swore that he would one day return. Kairine, to this day, waits and keeps watch, preparing for the day he might hold true to his word.
