Kiliran

Patron of the Wild

The druidic god who reigns over the wild and all the creatures therein, Kiliran is worshiped and venerated by druids the world over almost exclusively. Druids are a people who, often time, live as hermits in the wild, usually keeping to themselves and never involving themselves in the affairs of children, as they refer to people who envelop themselves in the modern world; however, they are not to be confused with the Druidic Guardians, who, in Olympusian myth, are chosen protectors of the balance, who only appear in times of great crisis, usually preceding the Ahkarath, or Chosen One. Over time, a mythology has developed around these curious people and there are some who say that Kiliran granted them the ability to shapeshift, to change their form to the likeness of the animals they have sworn to protect. Druids also have an amazing ability to commune with Mystimon in a way even summoners can not.
However, this is not their story. This is the story of the Patron of the Wild, Kiliran. Kiliran is the god of nature and earth. He is the protector of all Mystimon and all life. He has sworn himself to this duty in reverence of his king and queen, Raanu and Maryve. There are many who say that the appearance of the Druidic Guardians and indeed the Ahkarath them self, is Kiliran's doing. That they are his agents on Terr'ahna, in order to protect the great Balance. His avatar is that of a dire bear and indeed, in many places around the world, there are legends and myths of a gigantic bear, larger than any other known in existence. Could this be Kiliran himself?
