He works as a private detective. . . sometimes. Most of the time he can be found in the tavern drowning himself in alcohol. When he does take a case, he will, more often than not, bungle it somehow and land himself into trouble.
Failures & Embarrassments
His greatest failure, and what holds him back still to his day, is the day he bungled a stake out on a cult meeting in a barn in Rakshar, back in 2740. That day he managed to fall through the roof of the barn, landing right in the middle of the meeting. He was then captured by the cult and nearly sacrificed to Cthulhu. He was rescued by a group of adventurers.
