Scorpio

Medium-sized scorpion-like creatures with a hard shell, six legs, two pincers, and a long tail tipped with a blade-like appendage. Scorpio are mainly desert dwelling creatures, primarily found in deserts around the world such as Almahna. They have been known to carry a deadly necrotic poison, which, when a victim is stung by its tail, will cause the flesh around the wound to rot and decay, most often resulting in an infection, and ultimately killing the person after days or even weeks of pain and agony, as the wound feels as though it is burning.
However, despite their reputation, Scorpios have been found to only attack in self defence, when they feel threatened. Studies have shown that when one approaches a Scorpio with their weapons sheathed, the Scorpio will simply allow them to pass without incident. But when approaching one with weapons at the ready, it will attack in a frenzy.
These creatures are sand-burrowers, as they feel most at home burrowed deep beneath the warm sands. They are also ambush predators, mainly feeding on small rodents or bugs. Anything larger is simply too much hassle for them.
