Growing up in a TRADE TOWN in Olympus, Hawthorn was raised alone by her Fey mother after her Human father, an infamous rogue and scoundrel, charmed her and left her with the baby. Hawthorn was often frustrated by her difficult home life, as well as by the different rate at which she matured compared to her full-blooded Fey peers; it wasn't long before she FELL IN WITH A BAD CROWD. As she approached adulthood, she worked her way up from pranks and small misdemeanors to petty theft and scams. The town council, who was somewhat prejudiced against Humans in the first place, eventually tired of Hawthorn's misdeeds after she was caught one too many times, and they voted to remove her from the town. She drifted for a while after that, getting by with the help of a CRIMINAL acquaintance affiliated with the Thieves' Guild. Though she had some lean years, even experiencing a stretch of HOMELESSNESS, she survived on her quick wits and nimble fingers. A lucky outcome to an ACCIDENTAL FALL during one particular second-story caper led her to consider another line of work--aware of the abundance of ruined sites across the world, no doubt full of ancient valuables, she put her talents as a trapfinder to work to become a professional dungeon delver. Hawthorn has a loose understanding of the boundaries of personal property, and she's got a personality about as pleasant as a root canal, but as long as she's paid, you won't find a more reliable hand.
A harsh, humorless professional dungeon delver with aspirations of one day becoming a master thief. Any problems she can't solve with her wits and proficiency, she addresses with her twin shortblades.
