The Origins of the Sechi Legion
It began in the year 508 of the First Age. The nations of Almahna, Highwind, and Olympus had been at war for over 100 years. The land was in turmoil and in this time of great chaos, many turned to the Gods for guidance. And from this great time of need sprang forth one particular religious group called the Sechists. They believed in the coming of a paradise. They believed in Verszagro's original promise of such a land. Such a land in which war did not exist. Where peace was achieved through diplomacy and democracy, not violence and anarchy. But the Temple did not condone such worship of the Forgotten Gods. They sent forth the Maji Guard to bring these heretics in and put them to death.
What are the Sechists to do? They struck back. They defended their honour and their beliefs by utilizing their most powerful weapon. One which should have never been used in the first place. Black magic.
And suddenly a whole new war began. The war between the Sechists and the Temple. Over time however, these ideals grew clouded and shrouded by the mists of time. The Sechists' agenda grew corrupted by the very things they fought to protect. In time the Sechists ceased being such and instead evolved into what is today known as the Sechi Legion.
The war of religion has never ended even to this day. Only the combatants today have forgotten what they were fighting for in the first place.
