In certain places around the world, Mystia has pervaded the natural environment, and perhaps in some places even cities or towns, becoming infused within the creatures in that location. In places like the Wild, in Olympus, it has created some spectacular results, with strange Mystimon which appear no where else in the world, known as Wild Hunt Mystimon. In places such as the Wild, this Mystia Surge was caused by the mere presence of slumbering giants like the Dragon Lords. In other places, like the Shattered Lands of Arcticus, this was created by Mystia explosions. However, it has also recently been discovered that Mystia Surges can also occur on the crossroads of the Flow Lines more frequently.
But Mystia Surges can have other effects other than morphing and evolving the creatures in the area. They can also cause all kinds of strange and wild effects from the mere act of casting a spell. While in locations with Mystia Surges, any time a creature casts a spell, they must also attempt a DC 7 flat check. With a success, that creature then rolls on Table 7: Wild Surge. However, on a critical success, that creature instead rolls on Table 5.2
